We offer a Fourth Grade program that is aligned with the MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION'S COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS. Our program is designed to support individualized learning through systems of intervention, support, enrichment, and activities such as:
- Differentiated Instruction (MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE RESEARCH)
- Collaborative Learning (KAGAN COOPERATIVE LEARNING STRUCTURES)
- SAM Intervention Program. This program individualizes student learning goals by focusing our staff on informal and formal student achievement data to identify Core Content State Standards that challenge students and Standards students have mastered. Every 4 - 6 weeks student data is reviewed, collaboratively, by grade level staff in the areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics content. Students are then grouped, within their grade level and with their peers, according to their content strengths and weaknesses. Students will receive instruction and enrichment that focuses on the acquisition and enhancement of the Core Content State Standards and then are reassessed for mastery.
- Mid-term and semester letter grade reporting (every twelve weeks). Parent on-line access to student progress through Skyward Family Access.
